\u201cThere\nare no great men of God, only men of a great God.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n In that case, one of my favorite \u201cmen of a great God\u201d is 19th<\/sup>\ncentury American theologian Albert Barnes, who provided gems like this below in\nhis commentary of both the Old and New Testaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Psalm 55:22 – Cast\nyour burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the\nrighteous to be shaken.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAll that is to be\n\u2018borne\u2019 or to be \u2018done\u2019 in this world he has \u2018divided up\u2019 among people, giving\nor assigning to each one what He thought best suited to his ability, his\ncircumstances, his position in life – what \u2018he\u2019 could do or bear best – and\nwhat, therefore, would most conduce to the great end in view. That portion thus\nassigned to \u2018us,\u2019 we are directed to \u2018cast upon the Lord;\u2019 that is, we are to\nlook to him to enable us to do or to bear it. As it is \u2018his\u2019 appointment, we\nshould receive it, and submit to it, without complaining; as it is \u2018his\u2019\nappointment, we may feel assured that no more has been laid upon us than is\ncommensurate with our ability, our condition, our usefulness, our salvation.
