Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to serve in Liberty University’s Graduate School of Business Program. I shared this thought below with my students in a course entitled Entrepreneurial Innovation in the Nonprofit Organization, which speaks to EA’s priority of Scripture-saturated, sacrificial service in equipping the global Church for greater biblical fidelity and ministry effectiveness. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

While the Christian leader needs to understand secular principles and practices, priority must be given to leveraging the divine power afforded us through the knowledge of God found in His Word.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

2 Peter 1:2-4 states, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” <\/em><\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Commenting on this passage, Charles Spurgeon stated:<\/span><\/p>

“Many things are great which are not precious, such as great rocks, which are of little value; on the other hand, many things are precious which are not great, such as diamonds and other jewels. But here we have promises which are so great, that they are not less than infinite, and so precious, that they are not less than divine.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

As a ministry, we “labor through Christ’s power within us” under the firm conviction that a\u00a0mind saturated in the precious and sufficient truths in God’s Word will lead to both discerning belief and Christ-honoring behavior.<\/span><\/p>
